Cleaning Verification

Tests are available to verify can be used to verify cleanliness of instruments and other medical devices. Two of the most common are protein tests and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) bioluminescence tests. Swabs are used to test for organic soils, such as blood or protein. Cleaning Indicators are also available for ultrasonic machines and washer-disinfectors which verify that the process is effective. The chemical in the indicator will break down or exhibit a color change when the parameters have been successfully achieved.
